Nurse turned doctor, Yvonne Gilli fought against the obligation of vaccination within the framework of the revision of the federal law on epidemics, while she sat for the party of the Greens in the National Council. At the beginning of this year, she took the head of the Federation of Swiss Doctors (FMH), which has its first president with her.

The general practitioner has her practice in Wil, in the canton of St. Gallen, where she prescribes to her patients, alongside the classic therapeutic approach, homeopathy or treatments from traditional Chinese medicine. At the time of her appointment, her profile and her former political battles earned her a cold reception from some of her peers, who suspect her of anti-vaccine.
