The cantons are preparing to accelerate the pace because the vaccines promise to arrive, even if the deliveries of Moderna have been revised downwards this week. On Monday, Geneva inaugurated a site at Palexpo, where we can perform 4,000 injections per day, one of the largest in the country. On Vaudois soil, the Palais de Beaulieu launched its operations the same day and, on April 26, the Clinique de Genolier must begin its injections. Time takes you to four centers, in Neuchâtel, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Geneva and Lausanne, with varied atmospheres. Everywhere, we feel a certain excitement at the idea of receiving the famous potions of Moderna or Pfizer / BioNTech. They give the opportunity to meet new faces and they promise us to resume a normal life, especially on the terraces, which are once again open.
■ Polyexpo, in La Chaux-de-Fonds
A subcontractor watchmaker and a coffee roaster are in his vicinity and, in front of the entrance, a concrete work and a yellow cabin appear to be abandoned. But no doubt, we are there: “We vaccinate here”, indicates a sign at the entrance of a large building on a typical 1980s floor, the Polyexpo, in La Chaux-de-Fonds. These 4000 m² normally host fairs, concerts, conferences and other corporate meals. We even organized the World Fencing Championships there.
