To vaccinate, a nasal spray instead of the syringe

All licensed coronavirus vaccines are administered with an intramuscular injection. But good news for belonephobes (needle phobic): the syringe would not be the only possible method of vaccination. Many companies around the world are now looking to create versions that can inhale instead of inject.

These vaccines come in the form of an inhaler or nasal spray. Technically, they work the same as injection – only the method of administration changes. A sprayed dose in each nostril and voila, the job is done!
