It is a small hill which strangely evokes Golgotha. Up there, on the heights of Matera, in Basilicata, Pier Paolo Pasolini shot in 1964 The Gospel according to Saint Matthew. And forty later, Mel Gibson performed his bloodiest there Passion of Christ. Pointing this plateau from a balcony overlooking the Italian city, Milo Rau explains to activist Yvan Sagnet that he will in turn be crucified there, like Enrique Irazoqui and Jim Caviezel in the feature films of Pasolini and Gibson.
