At the end of a city fair allowing not to completely cancel the 2020 edition of the event, the Geneva Book Fair was targeting 2021 in more than one way. First, it would find its traditional dates – from April 28 to May 2 – after this version outside the walls in October 2020.
Above all, 2021 represented the prospect of a return to the classroom, within the walls of Palexpo, after a painful year of pandemic. However, this February 3, while the Federal Council was pessimistic about the relaxation of anti-Covid measures, the exhibitors’ council met to decide on the future of the Geneva literary event.
“It is not realistic to envisage a major easing of measures before the end of February”, , evoking the rise of a “pandemic within a pandemic”, due to the expansion of variants.
