The Attorney General of the Confederation should be able to be older

It was without any debate that the Council of States decided to tacitly support an initiative of its committee aimed at raising the age limit applicable to the mandate of Attorney General of the Confederation to 68 years. The question would seem anecdotal if it were not part of the endless torments that accompany the succession of Michael Lauber. The ping-pong game continues and the file goes to the National. While waiting for this point (and many others) to be clarified by the Chambers, the call for candidates to take the head of the federal prosecutor’s office has been postponed indefinitely.
