The management of the investigations into the accusations of harassment on Italian-language Radio Television (RSI) has been withdrawn from Maurizio Canetta, its director who will retire at the end of March. This decision was taken last Friday by the chairman of the board of directors of the SSR, Jean-Michel Cina, and its director general, Gilles Marchand, 24 hours after being informed of the publication, in April 2020, of two tweets judged “Inappropriate”.
Tweets with a sexual connotation
The RSI boss’s famous tweets were posted online on Thursday. These are exchanges with a sexual connotation and on one of them we see a half-naked woman.
Last April, these tweets were reported to RSI Human Resources. His manager would have discussed it with the author, who “admitted his mistake and apologized”, erasing his two tweets.
