The campaign for the presidential election in late 2022 in Brazil has (informally) started. The Supreme Court confirmed it on Wednesday April 15: the former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (2003-2010) does indeed recover his eligibility. The annulment of his two convictions for alleged acts of corruption – one of which had led him to prison for a year and seven months -, determined in early March by one of the members of the court, was ratified in plenary . Reason: the court of Curitiba (in the south of the country) which delivered the verdicts was not competent.
