Finma has opened two investigations against Credit Suisse

The Archegos and Greensill cases have been making headlines in the financial press for the past few weeks. They are also scrutinized by the regulator. The Finma announced Thursday morning the opening of an investigation against Credit Suisse following the implosion of the American hedge fund Archegos which caused 4.4 billion losses to the Swiss bank. Objective of this enforcement procedure (in its jargon): “to analyze in particular the signs of breaches in risk management.” For this, it will appoint an investigator at the bank.
