Deadly strike in Mali: UN questions French version

The French version about an airstrike that killed dozens of people in Mali in early January falters. On Tuesday, the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (Minusma) published a detailed report of about thirty pagess on the chain of events of January 3, 2021. That day, the French army, which has been fighting against jihadist groups in this Sahel country since 2013, claims to have targeted a group “of around forty armed men in an isolated area ”after careful intelligence work.
