It’s a household name that Swiss cycling enthusiasts will never find in the rankings. At 35, Danilo Wyss has resolved to retire from sports, failing to find a satisfactory contract for the 2021 season.

In thirteen years of professional career, the Vaudois has known two teams (BMC then Dimension Data / NTT), participated in 11 great laps and served some of the best riders in the world as a teammate. He has also seen his sport disrupted by doping cases, increased by technological progress, diversified by globalization. On these changes, he has the keen eye of someone who has experienced everything from the inside.
