A studio in East London filled with fuchsia light, a collection of synths on the walls and around the silence, as if this room were not a place of creation, but a refuge where Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson protected themselves from the outside. “It’s so horrible these times, between the pandemic and Brexit, that we see nothing better to do than hang around here constantly,” they swear.

The guys from Belfast are defending a second record soaked in “painful nostalgia”, as they say. An ample work, a little haunted, produced at a time when we could not imagine closing the dance floors of the continent and which nevertheless reflects all that was lost during the health crisis: recklessness and movement.
